THE FRAME β Issue #001
For weeks, Fox News has been branding the Democratic Party as fractured between "moderates" and "socialists." Watch one segment and you'll see the frame built in three words: "moderate" tells you this Democrat is reasonable. "socialist" tells you the other one is extreme. "divided" tells you there's a real battle happening. Three words, one frame β and not one of them tells you what any of these Democrats actually do.
This is not a cry for help or a plea for political reform. This is an audit. As heirs to a Christian civilization, we have a duty of stewardship. Part of that duty is understanding exactly how the current regime is squandering what was once built for our ancestors and our posterity.
Here are the specific frames Fox has been running, and what's really happening inside each one:
π‘ The Dems aren't divided; they are testing the limits.
"Dems Divided" over progressive push Jun 2026
They're not divided β they're calibrating.
Media downplaying "civil war" β moderates vs. socialists Aug 2026
There's no war β just a negotiation over how fast to drive.
"Socialism dilemma" β NY wins expose Dem divide Jun 2026
It's not a dilemma when everyone's going the same direction.
"Socialist surge" β Mamdani flexes muscle vs. establishment Jun 2026
The surge isn't against the establishment β it is the establishment now.
Dems' "civil war" blazes over far-left socialist agenda Jul 2026
A civil war implies two sides want different destinations. They don't.
There are real tactical disputes within the Democratic Party β Israel, healthcare, policing. But those are arguments over pacing, not destination. Every Democrat in office is pulling the same direction. The only argument is how fast to go.
Ask yourself: if the Democrats are truly divided β if the moderates are holding the line β then what have Republicans reversed in the last eight years? The debt? Up. Spending? Up. Federal power? Up.
The ratchet clicks one direction. Democrats push forward. Republicans slow but never reverse. So what does the "Dems Divided" frame do? It makes you feel like someone is holding the line β so you don't ask why your own team never turns the ratchet back.
GOP aims to turn Dem "civil war" into midterm weapon Jul 2026
Convenient β a "war" the GOP can campaign on without having to win it.
Socialists' congressional "insurgency" β can Dems stop it? Jun 2026
Why would they stop their own vanguard?
"Radical socialist takeover" will "destroy" the party Jul 2026
It won't destroy the party β it is the party, arriving on schedule.
Fox isn't describing a division. Fox is building a fence β and the fence keeps you from asking why Republicans never reverse the slide.
Every cycle, government gets bigger. Spending goes up. Debt goes up. Your dollars buy less because inflation is the tax they never vote on β they just print. And while that happens, Fox has you watching the "moderate vs. socialist" show. You're arguing about which Democrats are reasonable. You're not asking why the party you trusted to fight this hasn't reversed a single thing.
Battle for the "soul of the party" β moderates vs. progressives Apr 2026
You don't fight for a soul you've already sold.
Far-left Dems "keep saving Republicans" from themselves Jun 2026
The GOP doesn't need saving β they need the Dems to look scary enough to justify doing nothing.
The frame keeps your eyes on their stage so you don't notice what's happening to your paycheck.
Stop asking whether the Democrats are divided. Start asking why Republicans never reverse the slide. The "moderate Democrat" is a character Fox built so you'd feel like the threat is manageable. It isn't.
Now take these two further. Fill in the blank yourself β and use them anywhere: in conversation, on social media, on the phone, on land or sea.
"Dems Divided" β moderates fight to rein in the fringe
If the Democrats were truly divided, the Republicans would be ________.
Suggested: reversing the slide β not just pressing the brakes.
"Moderate Dems push back against socialist extremists"
Fox News calls them "divided" so Republicans don't have to ________.
Suggested: actually fight β or explain why they never reverse the slide.
Assert your position without seeking anyone's approval. You're debunking a narrative, not seeking validation.
The diagnosis of these divided factions is clear. But knowing the pathology of the beast is only half the task. We must now turn to the far more difficult work: tending to the flame we are actually responsible for.
The Sovereign Reality
The political theater of "Dems Divided" is designed to keep you tethered to the belief that the system is functioningβthat if you just pick the right side of the divide, the ratchet might finally turn the other way. But the reality is that the trajectory is set by powers and principalities that exist far beyond the stage in Washington.
We take heart knowing that God is not surprised by the machinations of corrupt men, nor is He dependent on the success of our political maneuvers to accomplish His will. As the Psalmist writes:
"Why do the nations rage, and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying, 'Let us burst their bonds asunder, and cast their cords from us.' He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord has them in derision." β Psalm 2:1β4 (LXX)
The chaos we observe is the result of nations that have attempted to cast off the cords of Christβs reign. They plot in vain, believing they are the architects of history, while the King of Kings remains unmoved.
A Prayer for Stewardship and Faith
Lord, we thank You that our hope is not built on the shifting sands of political narratives or the false promises of human governance. We confess that we are often tempted to look to the mechanisms of this world to secure our peace. Forgive us for when we have let the anxiety of the headlines displace the stillness of our trust in You. Grant us the wisdom to be good stewards of the time and resources You have placed in our hands, acting with conviction and courage in our local sphere. Keep our hearts anchored in Your Kingdom, that we may witness the worldβs frantic games without losing our own peace. We do not ask that You remove every challenge, but that You refine our faith so that it is centered entirely on You, the King of all creation. Amen.
