About Renewed and Applied

We are past the diagnosis. We know who they are, we know what they are building, and we know who they want us to be. The atmosphere of big-government socialism, technocratic management, and DEI enforcement will cost you your job, your reputation, and your children if you step into it unprepared.

Renewed and Applied is an independent publication that exists for one thesis: you cannot have a renewed mind without applying it to all the things that matter — which is instantly political. This is politically applied Biblical Christianity and counter-propaganda, for men who are done performing outrage and ready to think, speak, and act like Christians in every sphere.

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. That command has consequences beyond the government regulations silencing the Church. If you believe you have a renewed mind — and you still think it's OK that unbelieving "experts" rule over a Christian people — you do not have a renewed mind. A mind renewed in Christ cannot abstain from governing.

But understand what Romans 12 actually commands. Paul does not say every renewed man is called to office. He says the opposite: having gifts differing according to the grace given to us — prophecy in proportion to faith, ministry in ministering, teaching in teaching, exhortation in exhorting, giving in simplicity, leading in diligence, mercy in cheerfulness. One body, many callings, every one of them applied. Nowhere in that list is there a calling called "spectator," and nowhere is there a sphere the gifts do not reach. Not everyone is called to run for office. Everyone is called to care about the government under which God has placed him — otherwise that government will get worse and worse until you really are crying out to God, and the man who ignored it helped build it.

The love unfeigned: abhorring the evil, cleaving to the good. The renewed mind is not a private chapel mind and not a Sunday-morning mind. It spans everything: church, family, work, and yes, the state. That is the breadth. That is the opposite of just church and family.

The Mission: Renewal, Not Spectacle

Most political analysis is designed to make you angry at the TV. That is a waste of your energy. We reject the "outrage cycle" because outrage is not renewal. A conformed mind that merely changes sides is still conformed.

Renewed and Applied is a training manual for the mind and a briefing for the household. We analyze the machine not because we expect it to change, but because we are tasked with knowing the landscape we inhabit. The first landscape is our own "body of death," constantly pulling us in the wrong direction. We cannot be good stewards of our own communities if we are hypnotized by the machinery that is consuming them. The lies are why we're in this mess — people believing them is the only power propaganda has. The Word, renewed in the mind and applied to every sphere, is how we get out of it.

Here, we focus on political counter-propaganda. There is plenty of good teaching on topics such as, for instance, Christian parenting, and I will leave such a subject to married Christian parents. But the political is expressly penalized in the IRS code and, apparently, money talks in the Churches. It's more than that, though: it seems we are buying peace with evil in government by agreeing to an arrangement where the two worlds are agreed to be separate. This publication declines that arrangement.

What This Is Not — And My Limitations

Clarity requires admitting limits, so here they are, plainly:

• I am one man, not a church. This publication is not your pastor and not a substitute for the local body. I write under the authority of Scripture and under the elders God has placed over me; you should too. Test everything here the way the Bereans tested Paul — against the Word, daily. If I ever contradict it, the Word wins.
• The first landscape is my own. I do not write as a man who has conquered the "body of death" but as one who fights it. Any renewal you find here is being worked out in the author first, imperfectly and out loud. I am patient before I am physician.
• I have one gift-territory, not all of them. Consistent with the breadth of the gifts: there is plenty of good teaching on Christian parenting, and I leave that subject to married Christian parents. My calling here is the political sphere and the propaganda that governs it — that is where the silence is bought and paid for.
• I am not your lawyer, accountant, or campaign manager. When I discuss the IRS code or election machinery, it is counter-propaganda and exegesis, not professional advice. Verify before you act.
• Wariness is not cynicism. Exposing lies is not the same as believing nothing. The antidote to propaganda is not suspicion of everything — it is a renewed mind that can sort, abhorring the evil and cleaving to the good.

Our Principles

• The Sovereign Reality: We affirm that Christ is King over every sphere — politics, economics, and national life. There is no neutrality.
• The Reality of the Spirit: We recognize that the technocratic drive for "optimization" is a war on the Imago Dei. They want to treat you as a data point; we defend the reality that you are a living soul breathed into existence by the Architect.
• The Household is the Fortress: We reject the myth that the state is our primary concern. The fundamental unit of a healthy nation is the household. Here we will provide clarity on the political demolition of the family via counter-propaganda.
• The Breadth of the Gifts: Not every man is called to office; every man is called to apply. Prophecy, ministry, teaching, exhortation, giving, leading, mercy — every gift is "in the ___," performed, not admired. There is no spectator calling, and no sphere the gifts do not reach.
• No Grift, No Cheerleading: We do not offer savior fantasies or political mirages. We provide forensic assessments of the system and a liturgical anchor for the remnant.
